Verses on forgiveness

وَلَا تَيْأَسُوا مِن رَّوْحِ اللَّهِ

“And do not despair of the mercy of Allah.”

Yusuf 12:87

وَهُوَ الَّذِي يَقْبَلُ التَّوْبَةَ عَنْ عِبَادِهِ وَيَعْفُو عَنِ السَّيِّئَاتِ

“It is He who accepts repentance from His servants and pardons misdeeds.”

Ash-Shura 42:25

وَتُوبُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ جَمِيعًا أَيُّهَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ

“Believers, all of you, return to Allah in repentance so that you may prosper.”

An-Nur 24:31

رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنفُسَنَا وَإِن لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ

“Our Lord, we have brought harm upon ourselves. Without Your pardon and mercy, we are surely lost.”

Al-A'raf 7:23

لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ

“There is no god except You. Glory be to You! I was indeed among those who did wrong.”

Al-Anbiya 21:87

رَبَّنَا أَتْمِمْ لَنَا نُورَنَا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا

“Our Lord, bring our light to completion and grant us forgiveness.”

At-Tahrim 66:8

سَابِقُوا إِلَىٰ مَغْفِرَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا كَعَرْضِ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ

“Race toward forgiveness from your Lord and a garden whose width is like the width of the heavens and earth.”

Al-Hadid 57:21

إِنَّ رَحْمَتَ اللَّهِ قَرِيبٌ مِّنَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ

“Surely Allah’s mercy is close to those who do good.”

Al-A'raf 7:56
